Dear Holidaymaker


The team at Golden Bay are very excited to be able to welcome guests back to our site from July 4th. We’re so grateful to be able to share a bit of coastal calm with those from other parts of the country and begin to bring back a little more business (as our lovely local independent shops are beginning to open too) back to the local area.


As you can imagine it has been one gigantic mountain to climb in terms of risk assessments, rigorous cleaning procedures, erecting various social distancing signage and training our team for all the new protocols in place to keep our guests and colleagues safe and confident as we enter new territories.


We therefore will have a new set of ‘guest requirements’ that will form part of any new or existing terms and conditions with regard to holiday bookings. These may change as of course guidance and regulations will keep on being updated and we are currently waiting  for our government/Visit England ‘Good to Go’ seal of approval.  We also recommend you visit this website to find out what attractions you can expect to find open and where you will need to pre-book a slot. ‘Know Before You Go’ Scheme.



In order for us to comply with the government requirements to allow us to open our Holiday Village in these challenging times, the following additional restrictions form part of our Terms & Conditions. These additional requirements are all to keep YOU safe and help us to comply with emergency regulations. We quite understand if you would prefer to postpone your visit until the situation is more relaxed, but please let us know as soon as possible so others can be offered the opportunity. If you wish to go ahead then balance payments with be due as per our Terms and Conditions. Please respond to us via email to confirm that you have read and agree to the guest requirements.


All park users will be required to follow the restrictions and the park team will be asked to ensure the new restrictions are being complied with to keep everyone safe.  Failure to comply will be a breach of the customer’s agreement with the park.


We are required to work with the new Track and Trace system.

For this, we need to know who is on our park at any point in time, and keep that data for 21 days, so you will need to provide us with name and contact details of everyone in your party.


To carry out our enhanced cleaning regime, we have temporarily removed non-essential items which are difficult to clean.  Please look through the below inventory and feel free to bring with you any additional items.   (Returning these additional items may not be possible so please remember to take them with you on departure.)


We can ONLY postpone a booking or refund any monies for a holiday that is due to government enforced restrictions. All other cancellations, even Covid-19 related will need to be covered by your holiday insurance. 




Please let us have your vehicle registration and the name and contact details of every person in your party in advance of your arrival. 



On arrival please:

.  DO NOT enter the Holiday Village before your allotted check in time which will be between 4.00pm and 7.00pm.  This may be subject to change.


.  You may park on Sandy Lane if you arrive in Westward Ho! ahead of your allotted check in time but please DO NOT enter the Holiday Village.


.  DO NOT enter Reception (if you have no alternative, then only one person from your party and please wait outside for instruction to enter safely).  Please make contact with Reception by phone, OR electronically via the ARRIVALS page on our website.  You will be asked to confirm a few details and directed to your property where you will find your key.


.  Part of your inventory will be delivered to those properties without a dishwasher on the day of arrival.  Please store the packaging of these items in the outer plastic crate and re-pack them ready for removal on departure.  If between arrival and departure the plastic crate is in your way, contact Reception and it will be stored for you until your day of departure.



On departure please:

.  vacate your property by 9.00am to allow for extra cleaning time.


.  leave ALL your windows open (unless it is very windy/rainy), repack the plastic crate and take all waste and re-cycling to nearest recycling point.


.  leave your key in the property. 


.  notify Reception by phone OR electronically on check out that no-one has been ill in the accommodation and that the accommodation has been left ventilated.



These additional requirements are all to keep YOU safe and help us to comply with emergency regulations.



What the holidaymaker can do:


Enjoy the property and the area of your deck


Walk freely on the park, at all times observing social distance from other park users and the park team.


Bring soap, hand gel, toilet rolls, (one per w.c. provided), disinfectant, hand sanitiser and disposable gloves, (these will be especially necessary when disposing of WASTE and RE-CYCLING in the communal area) - just to be of the safe side.


Consider bringing some supplies of food and drink to help reduce congestion in local shops


Talk to any of our park team but always observe social distance - ‘we are looking forward to seeing you!’


Arrange for third party food deliveries to the park if you are available to receive it


Please remember:

.  the property should only be used by households that comply with current government guidelines

.  no social gathering with friends

.  no visitors will be allowed access to the park

.  not to allow children to roam unsupervised around the park so that they do not, albeit inadvertently, break the social distance rule. 

.  the park play area is closed.

.  communal laundry may not be available.
