We are of course preparing once more to close our doors to owners, holiday makers and visitors from midnight on Wednesday 4th November until, currently December 2nd 2020.
We are very proud to be once again working with the council to house key workers and frontline members of the NHS and support our local community in any way we possibly can.

Please note: following the Government guidance, we are unable to accept guests from any Tier 3 Lockdown area. This is to help prevent the spread of the virus and protect guests, staff and the local community. We are contacting affected guests directly to refund or rebook. For this, we need to know who is on our park at any point in time and from September 24th will be using the NHS Covid 19 app. Just download the app before you arrive and scan in the code on arrival which will be in your property.
Following the Government’s recent changes to the COVID restrictions, we wanted to update you on our understanding of the rules at present and how we are reacting.
Government regulations on COVID-19 change frequently and are very detailed. However, at a high level the rules that apply to each of the countries within the UK are as follows:
From 14th October, different areas in England will have different rules depending on their categorisation as 'Medium', 'High' or 'Very high' under the new three-tier alert system. The government has published guidance for travel on each area, which includes that individuals are advised against travelling to areas of a greater risk designation. Find out more here.
The single household rule applies to the whole of Scotland, which means that customers staying in self-catering accommodation in Scotland can only stay with members of their household. Find out more here.
Certain areas of Wales are subject to additional local lockdown restrictions. Travel into or out of these areas without 'reasonable excuse' (which does not include holidays) is not permitted. Find out more here.
Customers who are unable to make use of their booking in line with the government regulations and guidance that applies to them or their booking have a number of options including to transfer, amend or cancel their booking and receive a full refund. We would just like to take the opportunity to thank all our guests who have joined us since our re opening in July and brought our Holiday Village back to life. I am personally so grateful to everyone for giving our ‘guests requirements’ the respect with which they were intended and welcomed them as an assurance of safety for all and allowed us to continue to operate our family run business to the highest levels of Covid Safety. Knowing that we operate to the very highest standards during these times has more than made up for the hours of planning, form filling and numerous webinars on the subject!
Thank you to all our owners who have been separated from their haven away from home. Communications with whom have been paramount in the past weeks and everyones amenability has allowed us to be confident that we are consistent across the board with our execution of newly appointed systems.
Thank you to owners who have been understanding in that now is not the time to let your property to paying guests without utmost diligence which is not always possible to maintain from afar, putting public safety ahead of profits. We have had to jump numerous hoops to ascertain that as lettings agents we are operating consciously of all criteria and regulations, it is also my responsibility as Site Owner to ensure anyone accepting family and friends let alone paying guests to their own property are not putting themselves or others at risk.
Of course I would not be anywhere without my A* team and family who have received each new policy and risk assesment with aplomb and have carried an absolute determination for a seamless re opening and rigorous implementation of each new protocol and system. Thank you.
We currently have in place a set of ‘guest requirements’ that form part of any new or existing terms and conditions with regard to holiday bookings, these were essential in us obtaining our government/Visit England ‘Good to Go’ seal of approval. We also recommend you visit this website to find out what attractions you can expect to find open and where you will need to pre-book a slot. ‘Know Before You Go’ Scheme.
All park users will be required to follow the restrictions and the park team will be asked to ensure the new restrictions are being complied with to keep everyone safe. Failure to comply will be a breach of the customer’s agreement with the park.
To carry out our enhanced cleaning regime, we have temporarily removed non-essential items which are difficult to clean. Please look through the below inventory and feel free to bring with you any additional items. (Returning these additional items may not be possible so please remember to take them with you on departure.)
We can ONLY postpone a booking or refund any monies for a holiday that is due to government enforced restrictions. All other cancellations, even Covid-19 related will need to be covered by your holiday insurance.
Please let us have your vehicle registration and the name and contact details of every person in your party in advance of your arrival.
On arrival please:
. DO NOT enter the Holiday Village before 2pm. Our reservations team will be in touch beforehand if your property is available prior to the check in time which will be between 4.00pm and 7.00pm. This may be subject to change.
. As you arrive at the entrance to Golden Bay, please pull in on the right hand side at the top of the car park where you will be met by a member of the team (please call us if we are not there to greet you within a couple of minutes and do stay in your car). We will then be able to give you a more accurate time scale of when your property will be available followed by a phone call when the property has had its final check and we are able to welcome you on site.
. DO NOT enter Reception, you can phone us on 01237 474161 (if you have no alternative, then only one person from your party and please wait outside for instruction to enter safely).
. Part of your inventory will be delivered to those properties without a dishwasher on the day of arrival. Please store the packaging of these items in the outer plastic crate and re-pack them ready for removal on departure. If between arrival and departure the plastic crate is in your way, contact Reception and it will be stored for you until your day of departure.
On departure please:
. vacate your property by 9.00am to allow for extra cleaning time.
. leave ALL your windows open (unless it is very windy/rainy), repack the plastic crate and take all waste and re-cycling to nearest recycling point.
. leave your key in the property.
. notify Reception by phone that no-one has been ill in the accommodation and that the accommodation has been left ventilated.
These additional requirements are all to keep YOU safe and help us to comply with emergency regulations.
What the holidaymaker can do:
Enjoy the property and the area of your deck
Walk freely on the park, at all times observing social distance from other park users and the park team.
Bring soap, hand gel, toilet rolls, (one per w.c. provided), disinfectant, hand sanitiser and disposable gloves, (these will be especially necessary when disposing of WASTE and RE-CYCLING in the communal area) - just to be of the safe side.
Consider bringing some supplies of food and drink to help reduce congestion in local shops
Talk to any of our park team but always observe social distance - ‘we are looking forward to seeing you!’
Arrange for third party food deliveries to the park if you are available to receive it
. the property should only be used by households that comply with current government guidelines
. no social gathering with friends
. no visitors will be allowed access to the park
. not to allow children to roam unsupervised around the park so that they do not, albeit inadvertently, break the social distance rule.
. the park play area is closed.
. communal laundry may not be available.
