Anyone who wants stay to stay a short stroll from Westward Ho! beach and village centre.
In the school holidays we are very popular with families as we are a safe, enclosed site with plenty of green space and a private ramp takes you directly down to the rock pools and tidal pool.
We offer a couples discount outside of peak season. It’s easy to relax and unwind as we don’t run any entertainment or activities, have great places to eat out a short walk away and have compiled a choice of nearby places of interest or where to get immersed in nature.

We are located in the seaside Village of Westward Ho! Please see our location map (top of this page). Two miles of sandy beach and the village centre is reachable within a few minutes walk from the bottom of our park.
You will see from our site map that our chalets are situated around one of three large lawned areas, with the Lighthouse Views at the top of the hill and the Seafront Properties at the bo
We are primarily a pet free site. You may see dogs at the Lighthouse View properties or at no. 30 at the top of the ramp as owners may bring their own to visit. We currently have one property (Lighthouse View 5) where guests may book in up to two dogs. With the exception of service or guide dogs, dogs are not permitted on any other part of the site or in any other properties.
‘Everything that you need and nothing that you don’t’. We like to know that we have thoroughly cleaned every inch of the properties, including the contents so we are mindful to keep the equipment to an achievable amount. Please see the properties individual inventories for what you will find.
We have highchairs, travel cots and baby baths available. Please just note that we do not supply the cot bedding so remember to bring this with you. We keep a supply of children games, board games and buckets, spades and nets for our guests to borrow.
We are happy to leave stairgates for you in the property upon request, however these are not wall mounted so we would advise that these are checked after each opening and that children are not left unattended at the top of the stairs.
Our reception is open 9-4 Monday to Friday and Saturdays are seasonal.
We supply a hand soap and toilet paper to get you started but we leave nothing from one guest to the next so you will need to bring along your condiments, salt and pepper, oils e.t.c.
Please also remember your beach/pool towels, any extra tea towels you require and your own cot bedding.
The wifi is free in all our managed properties and is a home from home service. You will be able to stream on an unlimited number of devices but we do ask that you do not share your password with any other property on site.
The washing machines and tumble dryers are located in the laundry, just beneath reception. Both take pound coins, just pop up to reception if you need some change. You will need to bring your own washing powder.
Sorry, no – we are governed by fire regulations and cottages can only sleep the prescribed number of people.
As long as you let us know in advance, as we need to know who’s on site. We also ask that they park on Sandy lane. Turn left out of our entrance, left and left again. Everything on the left hand side belongs to Golden Bay.
Two cars per property but we do ask that second vehicles are parked on Sandy Lane (see above) to give everyone a fair chance of having a space close to their property.
We have two EV chargers on the bottom car park, available pay as you go via the app. Once you’ve charged up, please move your vehicle for the next user.
For most of the year we can offer changeovers on any day except Sunday. During the summer school holidays, properties are available on either Monday/ Friday, Wednesday or Saturday changeovers.
Check in is from 4pm and checkout is by 10am on your day of departure. Please get in touch if you will be arriving after 5pm.
Our properties are cleaned and presented to you to the highest possible standards. In order to be able to meet our changeover deadlines we do need the properties to be left clean and tidy with any rubbish removed.
Please see our terms and conditions and cancellation policy here. All bookings must be accompanied by a non-refundable deposit (25% of the total rental cost). Balance payments are due two months before your holiday’s due to start. We’ll send you an email reminder to let you know when your balance is due.
To make payment online just login to your account via our homepage using the email address and password supplied when booking (you will be given the opportunity to reset the password if you have forgotten it). We can accept debit and credit card payments but not American Express. If you have any problems paying online or would prefer, you can call the office on 01237 474161 to pay over the phone by card.
We also accept bank transfers – please contact us on 01237 474161 for details of the account to pay in to. For bank transfers you must quote your booking reference, property name and start date as your reference and email us via info@goldenbayholidays.co.uk to confirm your payment via this method. If paying by bank transfer please allow 48 hours for confirmation of receipt. To pay by cheque (payable to Golden Bay Holiday Village) please ensure that it is sent in time to be cleared by the due date.
If you would like to have a supermarket delivery, please make sure you tell them which property you are staying in (giving your mobile contact number) and book the delivery for a time slot after your arrival.
We’ve got leaflets for local attractions in the laundry below reception. We’re always happy to suggest great places to go for the best days out – please just ask at reception for our tried and tested recommendations.
